The Rage to Freedom
A cloud of gloom,
Hovers over my head,
Burdening my heart,
Listening to the sounds of blue.
The hushed sorrows overwhelm,
The rays of hope dim,
Smiles fade away,
Darkness ascends.
As I battle the war within,
The outside world feels distant.
Not all are worth the gain,
It’s better to refrain.
The inner sobs, hidden deep,
Should not be heard by others.
Can the pain in my eyes be soothed,
By the sweetness of the world?
Can I awaken the camouflaged evil,
And cast it far away?
When will my peace return,
And my loving dove fly once again?
